Today I helped a customer who had a MacBook Pro that was no longer booting from the internal hard drive. She was able to boot from the Data Rescue 3 boot DVD, but when she tried scanning the internal drive (Mac HD), she was getting a number of errors for slow reads and cloning was recommended. I helped her set up the cloning process, and once it completed, she contacted me and I helped her start the Deep Scan of the clone drive. When the Deep Scan finished she was able to find her files and recover them to an external drive.
When she first called in today she was in a panicked state, thinking that all her data was lost, but by the end of the day she was relieved to be able to get it all back. She appreciated having someone helping her throughout the process, making her confident that she was going to be able to get her files back on her MacBook Pro failed drive-
