I spoke to a customer who had a drive on his mac that he wanted to clone to another drive. He was doing this for creating a secondary drive for backup purposes. He decided to use the Drive Genius 3 duplication tool for this purpose. On his primary drive he had 2 partitions, first one was a mac partition and the 2nd partition was a bootcamp partition. He was trying to run a volume clone to copy the 2 different partitions. I suggested he use the device clone instead of volume clone. The device clone works on a drive of equal size or larger. He ran the device clone and was able to copy both partitions to the other drive and he checked each partition to make sure they were still valid startup choices.
