Prosoft Engineering Enhances Data Recycler X

Pleasanton, CA, June 26, 2003 - Prosoft Engineering, makers of professional-grade software for the rest of us, announces significant enhancements and added features to Data Recycler X. Data Recycler X version 1.2 is now available for Mac OS X v10.x.

The new version of Data Recycler X, an instant undelete utility, includes a search feature which allows users to search through the deleted file list based on name, date and size to find specific files. Other enhancements include a resizable main window, RAID volume support and improved deleted file capture. Data Recycler X captures files that were emptied from the Trash, overwritten by applications with the "Save As" command and even protects files deleted from programs such as Apple's iPhoto™. Data Recycler X now includes a shredder with three levels of security controlled by the user - Clear, Sanitize and Maximum, which meet or exceed the US Department of Defense guidelines for securely deleting files. The data shredder icon resides on the desktop for instant secure deletion of sensitive files and documents.
