Prosoft Engineering Announces Availability of Data Backup Classic for Mac OS 8.6 through 9.x

Pleasanton, CA, January 29, 2003 - Prosoft Engineering, makers of professional-grade software for the rest of us, announces the release and availability of Data Backup Classic for Mac OS 8.6 to 9.x. Data Backup Classic, a powerful and easy to use backup utility, has all the great features of Data Backup X (for Mac OS X), released at Macworld earlier this month, including a powerful, yet easy to operate user interface.

Also announced today, Prosoft released an upgrade to Data Backup X, version 1.0.1, incorporating a new automatic backup feature. This new feature automatically performs a backup as soon as the backup drive is attached and recognized by the computer.

"During Macworld Expo, earlier this month, the automatic backup feature was frequently requested by consumers, especially firewire drive users," states Greg Brewer, Prosoft's president and CEO.
