NetWare 5.13 Demonstrated at Comdex: Keeping Macs integrated with a PC network
Pleasanton, CA - November 15, 1999 - Prosoft Engineering announced today that it would
introduce the latest upgrade to the NetWare Client and NetWare 5 Services this week at
Comdex 99 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Prosoft will be demonstrating the latest in Robust NetWare
Macintosh Connectivity at the Novell Partners Pavilion, Booth #L3107, in the North Hall of
the Las Vegas Convention Center.
By simplifying the NetWare 5.13 Client for Mac OS, Prosoft Engineering has enabled users to
browse and mount Novell NetWare Volumes and select NetWare print queues from the Mac OS
Chooser. This Long awaited upgrade makes it easy to integrate Macintosh platforms on the
same network as PCs. "We have approximately 1000 computers on campus of which 600 are
Macs. I am very pleased with the dependability of the Prosoft Engineering Mac Client and
want to install it on all the Macs!" said Chuck Bonin, Independence High School.
In addition to demonstrating the 5.13 client, Prosoft's NetWare 5 services for Appleshare
will be shown. NetWare 5 Services for Appleshare allows a NetWare 5 Server to
"speak" AppleTalk and appear as if it were an AppleShare file server to
Macintosh workstations on the network.
Prosoft Engineering is proud to be a part, once again, of the Novell Partners Pavilion.
The Comdex show will be taking place November 15-19th in Las Vegas and plans to draw over
200,000 people. The annual event will showcase the latest in Internet, Networking and
Electronics technologies.
