NetWare 5 Services for AppleShare is one of two ways to integrate
Macintosh workstations into the NetWare environment. This set of NLMs is installed
directly on the NetWare server side, whereas the NetWare Client 5.12 for Mac OS, which has
been available since January 1999, installs on individual Macintosh workstations to
"speak" native NCP over IPX to communicate with a NetWare server. Both solutions
enable file and print services to Macintosh users and both can authenticate to
Novell’s powerful Novell Directory Services (NDS).

NetWare 5 Services for AppleShare is sold and licensed on a
per-server basis.
