Prosoft Demonstrates OEM Release of FORMEDIA at MacWorld New York
Pleasanton, CA, July 19, 1999 - –Prosoft Engineering today announced that it will introduce its OEM version of
FORMEDIA, the latest release from its hard drive utility product line, at this week’s
MacWorld New York Expo held at the Jacob Javits Convention Center July 21st through the
23rd. Expo attendees will be shown daily demonstrations of FORMEDIA at the Prosoft booth
in the Consumer Showcase.
Prosoft’s OEM version of FORMEDIA is a full-featured set
of utilities designed to maximize the performance of the Apple Macintosh’s disk drive
sub-system. It formats, partitions, and provides a wide array of utilities for fixed and
removable media. Formedia gives end users the ability to maintain peak drive performance
for all of their fixed and removable devices by providing exceptional functionality, an
intuitive graphical interface and support for USB, FireWire, SCSI, and ATA buses. It fully
supports the latest plug-and-play technology and advanced buses, leveraging these
technologies for maximum ease of use and performance.
This OEM release of FORMEDIA provides vendors seeking a
bundled solution for their mass storage hardware and software packages with exceptional
added functionality. Licensing gives OEMs the ability to place vendor specific graphics in
the FORMEDIA application, increasing their company visibility with their customers.

While at the three-day trade show, Prosoft will be conducting
a product giveaway to promote this product release at their booth in the Consumer
Showcase. Representatives of Prosoft will be passing out CHOOSE ME! buttons for attendees
to wear. As many as sixty (60) button wearers each day will be selected at random by
Prosoft to win prizes from hardware and software manufacturers such as ADS Technologies,
