I work creating images every day and as both a photographer and designer, my archive grows daily. With the prices of large hard drives dropping all the time, one is inclined to keep building and building file upon file, shoot upon shoot until you get to a point where you have terabytes of imagery hanging off your system... from a design point of view this is amazing because it allows you access everything you have without the need to find a dvd, copy it to your drive etc etc.
All along the way you strive to be diligent with your archiving, selecting the best quality discs, reburning these discs for extra security and BANG!!!!!

one of your multi terabyte drives falls over
nothing you own can resurrect it
nothing you have can get it to mount to your desktop
you silently scream
you bleed a little

your heart sinks

you have spent a long time establishing this drives infinite archives and passageways
you know where everything is
you access it daily

then it is gone
this is not good
you know that you have most of the work archived to disc, but the thought of having to reload all of the files off disc is nothing short of maddening.

word of mouth led me to purchase this application over the internet
downloaded and ready to go I set to task to recover 1.7 terabytes of files!
yes it took 22 hours
yes I was worried the whole time
but the real surprise was the support from ProSoft Engineering
not just from ProSoft but from Gordon Bell their general manager

he took the time to communicate directly with me throughout the process
re-assuring me that all would be well
told me if I was concerned to call direct and one of their techs would speak directly with me

this type of service I am not accustomed to
